overheard Z asking ada, "am i also going to see the other lady that i saw last time? she looks kinda chinese."

somehow that is 100% less offensive than "where's the chinese girl?"
partially because Z is only 7 years old.
but the "kinda" and "looks" ironically makes it more of an objective statement.
