met ben today. he moved out to philly from indiana to do missions. he started out w/ frank vega's ministry in kensington to the drug dealers and prostitutes. i told him that hmcc used to send missions teams to kensington. and that pastor frank spoke at one of the hmcc revivals... back in the day when there used to be revivals. so, he's married to p. frank's daughter and said that he remembers travelling to ann arbor and also facilitating some of the hmcc teams. small world! anyway, ben's current ministry was planted by ihop and they're training up inner city youth to use art and prayer into worship.

so every day at work it's been a frequent routine to ask "why am i doing this?!"... B was very encouraging and shared (unsolicited) "it's great that you are here because a lot of us missionaries don't have extravagant health insurance. it's wonderful to see the body helping the body."

good exhortation to finish the week. phew!
